NOTICE:
3D food printing is becoming more and more popular, When I heard about 3D Food Printing, I imagined something kind of gross. I think the idea of printing food seems to turn people off. There are dozens of different models and prototypes out there, but none have broken into the consumer market on a grand scale. Is 3D Food Printing really all that alien to us? Surely when we saw this sort of technology in "The Jetsons" we dreamed of one day being able to own such an appliance. But what is it about 3D Food Printing that seems so weird, or so outlandish, that half of our millennials have decided they wouldn't even give it a chance?
In a recent online survey conducted by my awesome research team and I, we discovered that about half of the GTA millennial population is interested in purchasing a 3D Food Printer. Not surprising, males are significantly more likely to purchase a 3D Food Printer than are females. I guess this jives with other studies out there researching the relationship between gender and interest in new technology.
But is that it? Is there anything unique about 3D Food Printers that may be more interesting to males than to females? Is there still a relationship between gender and interest in new technology? And the ultimate question, would you buy a 3D Food Printer?
