NOTICE:
A kitchen dough mixer, also called a pastry cutter, is used to add butter to the flour when you make the pastry. This process is often called cutting because you tend to use cold and not fluffy butter, which results in a thinner and tender crust of the pie or pastry. If you make pies, biscuits, or any type of pastry, you most likely want a good kitchen dough mixer to help you do the job.
The bottom of the kitchen dough mixer is a U-shape with three to five curved metal wires. Butter can be cut into flour through the metal wires. Before you add liquid, what you want most is the crispy corn flour texture. The top of the kitchen dough mixer is usually a straight handle, which can be made of metal, plastic or wood. The whole shape looks like a U shape with a horizontal line on top.
Bakers may find it convenient when using a pastry cutter. It is a small, extended lug that you can press in with your thumb to make it more stable when cutting butter and handling dough. It also allows you to apply a little force and quickly mix the butter and dough together with flour. You can certainly use a kitchen dough mixer without this function, but many people who make pastries prefer it.
The kitchen dough mixer is probably one of the kitchen tools, and it will definitely become obsolete for some people. Many people now use food processors or stand mixers to mix dough. These do work, but they are expensive. Also, you really shouldn’t add liquid to the dough through a food processor or mixer. It’s easy to mix the dough too much and create a sticky dough, which will cause the dough to harden. In this case, at least The mixed flour, butter, and sometimes sugar are removed from the processor or mixer, and then the liquid can be quickly added with a few hands, or you can use a dough mixer.
